Geographic Focus

Gardner Standard primarily seeks to invest in companies located in the traditional Manufacturing Belt and Upper Midwest of the United States, as well as adjacent Canadian provinces.

Gardner Standard believes this region is home to many attractive small middle-market businesses that share the firm’s values and goals. Our main office is in Minneapolis, but we spend much of our time on the road meeting with business owners, managers and others throughout our target geographic area. While we focus on this area, we also consider companies outside the region that share our values and goals.
